Tournaments in Saarbrücken (Germany)

Draughts tournaments 5th Open German Draughts 64 Championship (Brazilian Version) and 9th International Saarbrücken Open Tournament in Draughts 100 was held in Saarbrücken (Germany) from the 7th to the 9th November 2014. GMI Gennady Shapiro (GER) won 5th Open German Draughts 64 Championship. Viktor Larin (USA) took 2nd place and Igor Elvov (GER) took 3rd place.

The following Draughts tournaments will take place in Saarbrücken (Germany) from the 7th to the 9th November 2014:

a)  5th Open German Draughts 64 Championship (Brazilian Version).
b)  9th International Saarbrücken Open Tournament in Draughts 100

Registrations for participants who need an entrance visa, should be submitted until the 15th September 2014 including country, name and birthday of the player, also the number of the foreign passport (if a visa is necessary).

How to arrive:

By train:   Train station is Saarbrücken-HBF (main station), from there by bus line 124 to the station „Prinzenweiher“.
By car:    Autobahn A 6 Mannheim-Saarbrücken, exit St. Ingbert-West, passing the University, direction city, next to the Prinzenweiher.

Inscription fee:

Adults 15 Euro, juniors up to and incl. 18 years — 7 Euro.
For the Open German Draughts 64 Championship — 5 Euro.

Play mode:

7 rounds by Swiss System under the rules of the FMJD, also at the Open German Draughts 64 Championship.

Time control:

35 min. + 5 seconds per move (Fischer System) per person until the end of the game.
At the Open German Draughts 64 Championship 25 min. + 3 seconds per move.

09:30 – 10:30 h:  5th round;

Sunday, 9th November 2014

08:30 – 10:00 h:  5th round;
10:00 – 11:30 h: 6th round;
11:30 – 13:00 h:  7th round;
13:30 h:  Award ceremony, then departure of the participants.

Prize money and other prizes:

9th Saarbruecken-Open Draughts 100 Tournament: with 30 participants
1st pace  200 €, 2nd place  100 €, 3rd place 60 €, 4th place 40 € guaranteed. Best woman 30,00 €.
Winner of the Open German Draughts 64 Championship — 50 €.
The best 3 players in each tournament and best 3 juniors get cups and certificates.
