The main tournament of the 2026, World Draughts-64 Championship among men and women is held from September 3 to 13, 2026 in Moscow Region, Russia. The competition is held by the International Draughts Federation (IDF) together with the Russian Draughts Federation.
World Draughts-64 Championships will be held in the following disciplines: Blitz, Rapid and Classic game. The Blitz and Classic game disciplines will be played using the international version of draughts-64 (Russian). Rapid discipline will be played using the Brazilian version of draughts-64.
The competition will traditionally be held at a high level. The total prize fund for the World Draughts-64 Championship will be 5,000,000 rubles (more than 60,000 US dollars).

Competitions among men and women are held in two stages: preliminary and final.
The preliminary stage is played using the Swiss system, with 8 rounds for men and 7 rounds for women.
The top eight players, no more than three per country, advance to the final stages, where they compete for 1st to 8th places in the quarterfinals, semifinals, and final.
At all stages:
Time control: 30′ +15″ until the end of the game for each player.
The break between games is five minutes.
The game record is mandatory for all participants until the end of the game.

02-07-2026 ATTENTION! The location of the World Championship has changed. The competition will be held at the GOPARK multifunctional complex located at Shosseynaya Street, Bldg. 4, Golikovo Village, Khimki District, Moscow Region, Russia. Accommodation and meals for participants will be at the GOPARK HOTEL, located on the territory of the multifunctional complex.
GOPARK is the largest multifunctional complex in the Moscow Region, located in an ecologically clean area in northwest Moscow, just 10 km from the Moscow Ring Road along the Leningradskoe Highway and 7 km from Sheremetyevo Airport.
The complex includes a hotel with a summer pool, an indoor pool, a fitness club, a tubing track, padel tennis, sports arenas, restaurants and cafes, banquet halls, summer barbecue pavilions, walking paths, an outdoor workout area, free secure parking for 400 cars, and a variety of other services for adults and children.
The complex offers all the necessary facilities for hosting a high-level World Draughts Championship, as well as for participants’ recreation and recovery.
The cost of accommodation and meals (buffet) for World Championship participants, coaches, and accompanying persons covering their own expenses is:
For participation in all Championship disciplines from September 3 to 13, 2026 (for 10 nights)
– 52,000 rubles (approximately $675) per person, accommodation in a double room;
For participation in the Rapid and Blitz disciplines from September 3 to 6, 2026 (for 3 nights)
– 15,600 rubles (approximately $202.50) per person, accommodation in a double room.

Players from national federations that are members of the International Draughts Federation (IDF) are eligible to participate in the 2026 World Draughts-64 Championships among men and women. The International Draughts Federation reserves the right to invite athletes from countries that are not IDF members or individual athletes.

The organizers will provide accommodation and meals from September 3 (lunch) to September 13 (breakfast) for one participant per country for men and for women (double occupancy).
Representatives from four continents – Asia, Africa, Europe and America – will participate in the competition. Representatives from over 27 countries have already confirmed their participation!
