World Team Championship

International Draughts Federation (IDF) in accordance with the Calendar of the IDF competitions in 2019 held in Kranevo (Bulgaria) from 25th August (arrival day) to 1st September 2019 (departure day) World Team’s Championship in draughts-64. Competitions were held separately among men’s and women’s teams in two types of programs: classic and blitz.

In the men’s championship, the team of Lithuania won Blitz program, the team of Russia won Classic program. In the women’s championship, the team  of Belarus won in both programs.

29-08-2019 The classic program of the World Team’s Championship is completed.

In men, the team of Russia won the world title, for which international grandmaster Dmitrii Tsinman and international masters Dmitrii Melnikov, Anton Smirnov and Andrei Gnelitsky played. In the women’s championship, as in the Blitz program, the team of Belarus won.

28-08-2019 Classic program of World Team’s Championship is held. 11 men’s and 10 women’s teams take part in the competition.

Men’s and women’s competitions are held in a Robin round system by the system of micro-matches consist of two games. Men play with the draw of the moves according to the official table (745 positions) for the first and second men’s boards and with with the draw of the first move of white for the third man’s board. Women play with the draw of the moves according to the official table (150 positions).

26-08-2019 The World Team’s Championship in draughts-64 started today at the Aqua Life sports complex in  Kranevo (Bulgaria). Blitz program was held. 11 men’s and 11 women’s teams took part in the competition.

The team of Lithuania won the men’s championship. Team led by one of the world’s strongest grandmasters, former world champion Arunas Norvaishas. ​​The team of Belarus won the women’s championship. Team included top players, international grandmasters, the 2018 European champion Vera Khvashchinskaia and winner of the world championships Daria Fedorovich.

09-05-2019  International Draughts Federation (IDF) in accordance with the Calendar of the competitions in 2019 holds in Kranevo (Bulgaria) from 25th August (arrival day) to 1st September 2019 (departure day) World Team’s Championship in draughts-64.

Competitions are held separately among men’s and women’s teams.
The composition of teams: men – 3 men + 3 reserve players, women – 2 women + 2 reserve players.

Competitions are held in the international (Russian) version of draughts-64 by the system of micro-matches consist of two games in two types of programs: classic and blitz. All types of the program will be played with the draw of the moves according to the official table (745 positions) for the first and second men’s boards and with with the draw of the first move of white for the third man’s board. Women will play with the draw of the moves according to the official table (150 positions).

One team from each country is allowed to compete in men’s and in women’s championship. Additional teams can be admitted by IDF decision.

Team places are determined by the highest amount of points scored by all team members. In the case of equality of points scored by two or more teams, team places are determined in accordance with the official IDF Rules of the game and competitions.
