Draughts-64 are presented in the MSO Grand Prix 2022 online competition

The MSO Grand Prix 2022 is a brand-new online Mind Sports competition, which took place from April 15 to May 29, 2022 on various online venues across seven game categories.

This was a separate event within the MSO Mind Sports Olympiad. The Olympiad itself, if circumstances permit, will return to its traditional face-to-face format in 2022.

01-06-2022 Draughts-64 tournaments within the MSO 2022 Grand Prix completed. Three tournaments were held within the competition: Russian Draughts, Brazilian Draughts, Pool Checkers and the new Medley tournament, in which games of different types of draughts were played in each round. The winners of the competitions were well-known players successfully performing in various international competitions.

12-05-2022 The organizers of MSO Grand Prix are offering a new online competition format called Medley. Medley tournaments are Swiss format competitions where each round uses a different game/variant.

In draughts competition, any of the PlayStrategy draughts variants (International, Frisian, Frisk, Antidraughs, Breakthrough, Russian, Brazilian and Pool Checkers) can be played in each round.

Next, participants register for the selected tournament using the tournament link, and also register their participation in the overall MSO Grand Prix 2022 by clicking the “book ticket” button for each selected tournament.

Registration is free, and will ensure that participants are eligible for overall Grand Prix scoring and any medals earned from this tournament.

15 minutes before the start of the tournament, you need to enter your tournament and wait for the start. The tournament will start automatically.

The goal of the MSO Grand Prix is ​​to continue to bring together the best players of the world in online competition.

In each category of games, champions among adults, juniors and women will traditionally be awarded.

Registration for tournaments will open in March.

As part of the MSO Grand Prix 2022, the following draughts-64 competitions will be held:

May 14, 2022 – Russian Draughts

May 19, 2022 – Brazilian Draughts

May 24, 2022 – Pool Checkers

The competition will be held with the support and under the auspices of the International Draughts Federation (IDF).

Competitions will be held on the new online platform https://playstrategy.org/

All players wishing to take part in this significant event are requested to register in advance on the online platform. Nickname and all data in the profile must be indicated in Latin letters, the data must be complete and reliable.

Test matches between the players will be held in the first half of February. Players can conduct them independently together with their friends, colleagues and coaches.

Registered players will also be required to join the Draughts-64 team.

After recruiting a sufficient number of players, the IDF will start holding training tournaments for various types of draughts-64. As such, by the time MSO Grand Prix 2022 kicks off, players will be able to explore the new venue and play practice tournaments, allowing them to perform well in the main MSO Grand Prix tournaments.
