Results of the Brazilian Youth Championship

On September 2 and 3, 2023, the II Brazilian Youth Draughts-64 Championship was held in the municipality of Jaú-SP.
The championship was organized by the Liga Brasileira de Jogo de Damas with the support of the municipal mayor of Jaú-SP and the IDF.
146 players took part in the championship in the categories under 8, under 10, under 12, under 14, under 16, under 18 and under 21 for boys and girls.

After a break, a new organization was created in Brazil – the Brazilian Draughts League (Liga Brasileira de Jogo de Damas), which will develop draughts at the national level.

The Liga Brasileira de Jogo de Damas joined the IDF. Brazilian athletes will compete in our competitions with the strongest athletes in the world and win awards and titles.

The high level of play of Brazilian players is well known, their participation will increase competition and bring a lot of new things to the draughts game and competitions.

National tournaments have already begun.

The competitions were held in two stages. The first stage was held according to the Swiss system, then the 4 best in each category met each other in the semi-finals and finals to determine the winners!!!
