The International Draughts Federation (IDF) in accordance with the Calendar of the IDF competitions in 2024 held in Türkiye from November 1 to November 11, 2024 World Championship in draughts-64 among veterans.
Competitions were held in the age categories:
Men 60 years and older (1964 year born and older);
Men 50-59 years old (1974-1964 year born);
Women 50 years and older (1974 year born and older).

04-11-2024 Today the World Championship in draughts-64 among veterans in the discipline of classic game started. 27 playerss from 12 countries are taking part in the competition. Follow the results.
02-11-2024 Today, the World Youth Draughts-64 Championship, the World Veterans Championship and the World Cup started in Turkey. More than 270 athletes from 17 countries are taking part in all competitions.
The opening took place at 10:00. The participants and guests of the competition were greeted by:

30-06-2024 The International Draughts Federation (IDF) in accordance with the Calendar of the IDF competitions in 2024 holds in Türkiye World Championship in draughts-64 among veterans.
Venue: The Beach Club Doğanay Hotel 5*, Alanya (Türkiye) at address: Konaklı Mah. Mustafa Kemal Blv. No:289 Alanya/Antalya (Türkiye).
Dates: from November 1 (arrival day) to November 11 (departure day), 2024.
The Credentials Committee will work on November 1 from 16.00 to 22.00.
Competitions will be held in the age categories:
Men 60 years and older (1964 year born and older);
Men 50-59 years old (1974-1964 year born);
Women 50 years and older (1974 year born and older)
Participants must be fulfilled the required number of years on the date of the start of the competition.
Competitions are held in international version of draughts-64 by the system of micro-matches consist of two games in the two disciplines: Classic game and Blitz.
All disciplines will be played with draw according to the IDF official table valid as of 01/01/2024 (780 positions), obligatory in both games of micro-match.
System of competition is Swiss or Round robin depending on the number of participants, open-tournament (men and women).
All participants, timely filed an application for participation, registered in a timely manner and pay the entry fee are allowed to participate in competitions. The number of participants representing the country is unlimited.
