The Jamaica Draughts Association concluded it’s National Draughts Championship 2019 which was held on March 6, 2019 at the JPS Sports Club in Kingston. The championship was qualifying for the World Draughts-64 Championship. Players from across the island turn out in their numbers to compete in a bid to secure the coveted title of Jamaica’s National Champion in Draughts-64 2019. The legendary Jamaican player, Pan American Champion 2018, international Grandmaster Wayne ‘Shines’ Reid became National Draughts-64 Champion. Top 3 players will represent Jamaica at the World Draughts-64 Championship.
The Championship was held with two tournaments:
Class 1&2 being ‘the elites’ | Class 3 being ‘the novice’
