The bitter struggle for the champion’s title and prizes continued until the last minute. International master Dmitry Ganopolsky became the champion of Israel. He scored 22 points from 26 possible.
Strong Israeli players Yuri Kirillov, Sergei Chausovsky and Lev Pinhasov, who scored 21 points, shared 2–4 places, respectively. The coefficient placed them in that order.
The main referee of the championship was Felix Wasserman. He put a lot of effort into making the tournament at the good level.
