The International Draughts Federation (IDF), in accordance with the Calendar of the competitions in 2025, hеld the World Team Draughts-64 Championship in Türkiye from 2 to 8 November 2025. One men’s and one women’s team from each national federation – IDF member is allowed to participate in the competition. Team composition for men: 3 players + 3 reserve players; for women: 2 players + 2 reserve players. The World Team Championship was held in three disciplines: Blitz, Rapid and Classic game.

07-11-2025 The World Team Draughts-64 Championship for men and women has successfully completed.
The Championship were held at a high level at the Calimera Serra Palace Hotel 5*, Türkiye, and received high praise from the athletes, coaches, and heads of delegations.
Teams from 10 countries participated in the competitions: Azerbaijan, Belarus, France, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Uzbekistan, and Zambia.
The teams included 21 of the world’s strongest grandmasters—winners and prize-winners of World, European, and Asian Championships from various years.
More than 350 athletes from 17 countries took part in all competitions in Türkiye – World Youth Championship, World Veterans Championship, World Team Championship and World Cup stage!
At the closing of the competition, the winners of all competitions were awarded official diplomas, medals and awards.
Participants in all competitions received commemorative souvenirs.

The men’s and women’s competitions are held according to round-robin system by system of micro-matches from two games.
For men, the initial moves and positions are drawn on all three boards according to the official IDF table (780 positions); for women, the initial moves are drawn on both boards according to the official IDF table (150 positions).

In a close battle, the team of Russia won the men’s Championship, while the team of Belarus won the women’s Championship!

The World Team Draughts-64 Championship is held separately among men’s and women’s teams.
Team composition for men: 3 players + 3 reserve players; for women: 2 players + 2 reserve players.
Boards in the team are not assigned to participants; seating of players on boards for all rounds is carried out according to the application submitted before the round.
The competitions are held in three disciplines: Classic game, Blitz and Rapid.
The first discipline of the team championship, the Blitz, is taking place today.
Nine men’s and seven women’s teams competed.
The men’s and women’s competitions are held according to round-robin system by system of micro-matches from two games.
For men, the initial moves and positions are drawn on all three boards according to the official IDF table (780 positions); for women, the initial moves are drawn on both boards according to the official IDF table (150 positions).
The championship favorites, the national teams of Russia and Belarus, will compete for the title of champion in both the men’s and women’s competitions.
The national teams of Uzbekistan and Moldova will also compete for the top places. We also expect interesting games and strong results from the Zambian men’s team.
19-06-2025 The International Draughts Federation (IDF), in accordance with the Calendar of the competitions in 2025, holds in Türkiye the World Team Draughts-64 Championship.

The Credentials Committee will work on November 2 from 16.00 to 22.00.
