Final of World Cup 2014 – International draughts-64 competitions memory Vasily Sokov ended. Gavril Kolesov won. Nikolay Gulyaev took 2nd place and Mikhail Goryunov took 3rd place.
Svetlana Streltsova won youth tournament. Team “Onega” is the first in the team classification.

All leaders played a draw in 8th round. Before the last round Gavril Kolesov continues to lead with a score of 13 points from 16. Mikhail Gorunov is on the 2nd position. Andrey Fedotov, Mikhail Semenyuk and Nikolay Gulyaev are fighting for third place. In Youth tournament Streltsova Svetlana continues to lead before the last round.

After 7 rounds Gavril Kolesov lead with a score of 12 points from 14. Mikhail Gorunov is on the 2nd position with a score of 11 points. Youth Mikhail Semenyuk from Minsk (Belarus) is on the 3rd position with a score of 10 points. In Youth tournament after 5 rounds lead Streltsova Svetlana which won all of her games.

4 rounds took place in the World Cup. After 4 rounds Gavril Kolesov lead with a perfect result. Mikhail Gorunov and Andrey Gnelitskyare on the 2nd and 3rd position with a score of 7 points from 8. In Youth tournament after 3 rounds lead Streltsova Svetlana, Anna Azova and Vladislav Simakov with a score of 6 points from 6.

Final of World Cup 2014 – International draughts-64 competitions memory Vasily Sokov started. Competitions are held in SDUSSHOR of Chess and Draughts (Historical Chigorin chess club). 30 players take part in World Cup. 50 players participated in youth tournament.
Vasily Sokov, champion of the USSR 1938-41’s, was born December 26, 1912 in Yaroslavl region, died March 3, 1944 in the Battle of Narva. Most of his life he lived in Leningrad. Vasily Sokov was a very strong player, magician of draughts, the founder of the progressive Soviet school of draughts art, consummate theorist and innovator, humble and helpful people – so he will remain forever in the hearts of lovers of our folk game. Rules
1. Place, date
Competitions are held in SDUSSHOR of Chess and Draughts from December 07 (day of arrival) to December 14, 2014 at: St. Petersburg, Bolshaya Koniushennaya str. 25 (metro station “Gostinny Dvor”, facing Canal of Griboyedov).
2. The competition program
The program of the events:
1. Final of World Cup;
2. Youth tournament among boys and girls with offset by age group.
Team standings determined in youth tournament. Team composition: three boys and a girl.
3. The competitors
All participants are allowed to participate in World Cup regardless of gender, age and rating who timely filed an application, registered on time and pay the entry fee. The number of participants representing the country is not limited.
In youth tournament boys and girls born no later than 1998 are allowed to participate, who timely filed an application, registered on time and pay the entry fee.
All participants must have medical insurance for the period of competition.
4. The conditions of the competition
Competitions are held according to the rules of IDF-FMJD Section-64. The panel of referees determines the system of competition based on the number of participants.
Competitions are held in Russian version of draughts-64 by the system of micro-matches consist of two games.
Final of World Cup are held with the draw of the initial moves and positions on the debuts table approved by Section-64 and binding on both games of the micro-match. Youth competitions are held in the classic Russian draughts.
Time control:
Final of World Cup – 45 minutes for each participant before the end of the game plus 10 seconds per move.
In youth tournament – 45 minutes for each participant before the end of the game.
The break between games is five minutes.
5. Determination of winners
Places of participants are determined by the biggest amount of points.
In the team classification – by the biggest amount of points scored by all team members.
In case if result of two or more participants is equal, the additional criteria established by the panel of referees in accordance with the rules of the IDF-FMJD Section-64.
Players taking part in the Final of World Cup, get points in the overall standing of the World Cup in accordance with the Regulations of the World Cup 2014.
6.Awarding
Final of World Cup, youth tournaments:
Participants who took 1st place in each tournament awarded with cups, medals and diplomas.
Participants who took 2-3 places in each tournament awarded with medals and diplomas.
The team which won 1st place awarded by cup and diploma and it participants awarded with diplomas.
Teams which took 2nd and 3rd places and it participants awarded with diplomas.
The prize fund in the Final of World Cup to be announced, but will be not less than 1000 Euros.
Participants are required to attend the awards ceremony; otherwise they lose their official awards.
Overall standing of the World Cup:
In accordance with the Regulations of the World Cup 2014 participant who took 1st place in the overall standing of the World Cup awarded with cup, medal and diploma.
Participants who took 2nd and 3rd places awarded with medals and diplomas.
The prize fund in the overall standing of the World Cup according to the Regulations of the World Cup 2014 is 3000 euros:
1st place – 1000 EUR
2nd place – 600 EUR
3rd place – 450 EUR
4th place – 300 EUR
5th place – 200 EUR
6th place – 150 EUR
Best Veteran (60 +) – 100 euro
Best female – 100 euros
Best young born in 1998 and under – 100 euros.
Winner of the World Cup 2014 is allowed to participate in the World Championship 2015. Organizers provided his by accommodation and meals. Participants who took 2nd and 3rd places in the World Cup 2014 will participate in the World Championship 2015 without a tournament fee.
7. Finances
All costs of participants paid by the sending organizations or yourself.
The organizing committee pays all costs for the organization and conducting of the competition.
Entry fee:
In the Final of World Cup is 1500 rubles for each participant.
In youth competitions is 1000 rubles for each participant.
