International Draughts Federation (IDF) in accordance with the calendar of the competitions in 2018 holds from August 25 till September 04, 2018 at the Sports Complex «Aqualife», Kranevo (Bulgaria) World Seniors Championship in draughts-64 among men born in 1967-1958; men born in 1957 years and older; women born in 1967 years and older. Players from 12 countries took part in championship. Competitions were held in the two types of programs: Classic and Blitz. See results.

08-09-2018 The World Seniors Championship in draughts-64 has been successfully completed. Representatives of 12 countries took part in the competitions, among them 3 international grandmasters, ex-champions and prize-winners of World Championships Ion Dosca (Moldova), Arunas Norvaishas (Lithuania), Arno Uutma (Estonia).
Representatives of 7 countries won medals in various nominations. For the first time in the World Seniors Championship tried his hand the representative of Pakistan, who arrived at the IDF General Assembly delegate from his country.
03-09-2018 Today, at 20.00 closing ceremony of the World Youth Championship and the World Championship among veterans was held. The closing ceremony ended with a traditional festive fireworks. See photo.

26-08-2018 Today in Bulgaria in the sports complex “Aqualife” the World Championships in draughts-64 2018 among juniors, youth, veterans, and national teams started.
The opening ceremony was attended by a president of International Draughts Federation Vladimir Langin, a president of Bulgarian Draughts Federation Bogdan Yanev, a major of Kranevo Rumen Nikolov, a director of sports complex “Aqualife” Armen Yesayan. An international master Anastasia Barysheva performed with song, and the dance group “Jagger” made an incendiary performances.
Players from 11 countries take part in competitions: Armenia, Bulgaria, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Russia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, France and Estonia.
International Draughts Federation (IDF) in accordance with the calendar of the competitions in 2018 holds from August 25 (arrival day) till September 04, 2018 (departure day) at the Sports Complex «Aqualife», Kranevo (Bulgaria) World Seniors Championship in draughts-64 among men born in 1967-1958; men born in 1957 years and older; women born in 1967 years and older.
Competitions are held with the support of the Foundation for Promotion of Draughts Sports “Russian Draughts”.
Competitions are held in international (Russian) version of draughts-64 by the system of micro-matches consist of two games in the two types of programs: Classic and Blitz. All types of the program will be played with draw according to the official table (745 positions). System of competition is Swiss or Round robin, depending on the number of participants, open-tournament (men and women).
All participants, timely filed an application to participate, to register in a timely manner and pay the entry fee are allowed to participate in competitions. The number of participants representing the country is unlimited.
The prize fund of the championship is at least 1,000 euros.
