The African Draughts Federation (ADF) together with the International Draughts Federation (IDF) will host the first online African Draughts-64 Championship on 27 June 2020.
The first online African Draughts-64 Championship is completed. This historic Championship was held on the PlayOk online platform and brought together 60 players.

List of participants is completed. On June 26, 116 players from 11 countries registered for participation in the Championship: Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Among the declared participants are almost all the strongest athletes in Africa:
– Champion of Africa 2016 and 2018 international grandmaster Lukanga Mambwe from Zambia,
– winners of the African championships 2016 and 2018 international masters Enock Banda and Moses Winesi, master IDF Madalitso Thom (all-Malawi); IDF master Sam Senoga (Uganda) and representative of Ghana Abu Michael;
– participants of world championships, masters of IDF Mwaaza Sakala, Kennedy Phiri (Zambia) and Dan Isabirye (Uganda); as well as Umala Patrick (Uganda), Ephrame Demissie and Yonas Idea (Ethiopia).

Tournament Regulations
- The First Online African Draughts-64 Championship will be conducted on PlayOk platform (https://www.playok.com/en/) on 27th June, 2020 at 13:00 PM Central African Time (Pretoria/Cairo).
- The Tournament ID is adftournament
- Pre-registration of participants on the official ADF website (www.adf64.org) is mandatory.
- Participants must comply with the Rules of the game and competitions in draughts-64.
- Time control is 3 min 2 Sec per game for each participant and the tournament is held by Swiss system in 9 Rounds, micro-matches, random opening according to the draw table of the PlayOk website.
- Places in the competition are determined by the maximum amount of points scored by participants. For the victory is given – 2 points for a draw – one point, for loss – 0 points.
- In case of equality of points, places are determined by additional criteria installed on the PlayOk website.
- We remind athletes that they should login on PlayOk (https://www.playok.com/en/) 15 minutes before the start of the tournament, participants must go to tournaments section / tournaments – Russian checkers and register for the tournament called adftournament, wait for the start and no longer leave.
- Only verified participants who have passed pre-registration will be allowed to play in the tournament.
- The tournament is open for all athletes in Africa who will pre-register on ADF website.

- When registering athletes must provide their real first and last name, date of birth, qualifications, city and country of residence, nickname on PlayOk (nick in the card should reflect all data).
- well-grounded protests for unfair play (cheating) will be accepted by e-mail [email protected] within an hour after the end of the tournament. A special commission will consider them. Upon review of the cheaters may be disqualified without possibility of appeal.
