Asian Championships in draughts-64, draughts-100, and Turkish draughts was held in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) from 15 to 28 April 2017. Asian Championship in draughts-64 are held from 15 to 21 April. Competitions was held by Asian Draughts Confederation and the Uzbekistan Draughts Federation under the auspices of the International Draughts Federation IDF.

The 1st Festival of national sports and games of CIS countries is held in Ulyanovsk, (Russia) from 11 August (arrival day)  to 16 August (departure day) 2017. The festival is open for the participation of teams of countries that are not members of the CIS.

Russian Youth Championships among boys and girls in age groups U16, U19 and U26 was held in Leningrad region, in the hotel “Petro Sport Hotel” from 3rd (arrival day) to 12th March in three programs: Blitz, Rapid and Classic. Near 150 players from 23 regions of Russia took part in competitions.

Israeli championship in Russian draughts among women was held 4th March at the city of Petah Tikva. Champion Israel became USSR master of sports and IDF master, multiple participant of the World and European championships Zinaida Alexandrova. Master of sports Valery Volynkina took second place. Ex-champion of the USSR, the master of sports Sorkin Elena is in third place.

In February 2017 in the capital of Uzbekistan Tashkent was held championships of Uzbekistan in draughts-64 among men, women and youth.
