The 1st Stage of World Cup 2013 was held from 6 to 13 of March in Chelyabinsk, Russia. Gavril Kolesov led throughout the tournament and won with a score of 7,5 points out of 9. See results.  

 Lithuanian Men Сhampionship in draughts-64 (Russian version)  was held in Vilnius from 6 to 11 March 2013. 12 participants, round robin system, micro-matches of two parties, the draw of moves and positions. Known strong grandmasters Kibartas, Domchev, Norvayshas, Smaydris participated in the championship. Andrius Kibartas won additional match of Sigitas Smaydris and became the champion of Lithuania 2013. See final standing.

Youth Championship of Moldova in draughts-64 was held in Chishinau from 2 to 6 of March 2013. See results and Tables

The “World draughts Oscars – Golden Hermes” 2012 will be awarded  in March 2013 during the opening ceremony of the 1st stage of the World Cup in draughts-64, Chelyabinsk (Russia). Lithuanian Youth Championships 2013 in draughts-64 completed. Champions:

Elena Skovitina won Draughts-64 Championship of Moldova among women. The championship was held in Chess and Draughts Club of Chishinau from 22 to 27 February 2013. Arina Rodideal took 2nd pace and Marianna Gajdarzhi took 3rd place.

Floriano Roncarati from Italy sent a publication on women’s issues and the women’s movement in the draughts.  You can read the publication HERE
