The International Draughts Federation (IDF) together with the Uzbekistan Draughts Federation in accordance with the Calendar of the IDF competitions in 2023 held from March 25 to April 8, 2023 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, International competition in draughts-64 “Uzbekistan-2023” – World Cup.
The World Cup in Uzbekistan has been completed. The absolute winner in all three disciplines was the international grandmaster Sergey Belosheev. In women, the winners were Anastasiia Arkhangelskaia in Blitz, Shakhzoda Tursunmurotova in Rapid, Nika Leopoldova in Classic game. See the results.

More than 100 athletes from 8 countries took part in all disciplines of the World Cup. Among them are 12 strongest grandmasters in the world, many of whom are champions and prize-winners of world championships in different years.

During the meeting, the IDF President was informed about the work carried out in the field of sports and physical culture in Uzbekistan, in particular, the development of draughts, as well as measures and reforms to support young people and attract them to mass sports.
President of the International Draughts Federation (IDF) Vladimir Langin highly appreciated the work on the development of the draughts sport and the achievements of athletes of Uzbekistan in the international arena.
The parties agreed on further cooperation in the development of draughts in Uzbekistan.

27-01-2023 The International Draughts Federation (IDF) together with the Uzbekistan Draughts Federation in accordance with the Calendar of the IDF competitions in 2023 holds March 25 to April 8, 2023 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, International competition in draughts-64 “Uzbekistan-2023” – World Cup.
Competitions will be held in BARAKA Hotel at the address: Shoxdjaxon st. 51, 100100 Tashkent (Uzbekistan).
Dates:
1) Training events: from March 25 (arrival day) to April 1 (departure day) 2023
2) International competition in draughts-64 “Uzbekistan -2023” – World Cup: from April 1 (arrival day) to April 8 (departure day), 2023. The credentials committee will work on April 1 from 18.00 to 20.00.
Competitions will be held in three disciplines: Classic, Rapid and Blitz.
All disciplines will be held according to the Swiss system in 7-9 rounds, by the system of micro-matches from two games with a draw of initial moves and positions according to the official IDF table.
In each discipline, winners and prize-winners among men and women will be determined.
Additionally, winners and prize-winners are determined among juniors (boys and girls) under 20 years old (born in 2004-2006), boys and girls under 17 years old (born in 2007-2009), boys and girls under 14 years old (born in 2010-2012), boys and girls under 11 years old (born in 2013 and younger).
The prize fund of the competition will be at least 2,000 US dollars.
