The International Draughts Federation (IDF) in accordance with the Calendar of the IDF competitions for 2026 holds World Cup in draughts-64 – International competition “Türkiye-2026” in Türkiye from 20 to 29 April 2026. The World cup is held in three disciplines: Classic, Rapid and Blitz.

29-04-2026 The World Cup in Draughts-64 in Türkiye has been successfully completed. The competition was the 1st Stage of the 2026 World Cup.
The World Cup in Draughts-64 was held at a high level in the Ma Biche Kemer by Werde Hotels 5*, Kemer (Türkiye).
Competitions were held in three disciplines:
1) Blitz – international version of draughts-64
2) Rapid – Brazilian version of draughts-64
3) Classic – international version of draughts-64
More than 100 players from 6 countries took part in all World Cup disciplines.
In each discipline, winners and prize-winners among men and women were determined.
In addition, winners and prize-winners were determined among juniors boys and junior girls under 20 years old (born in 2007 and younger).
Artem Tikhonov and Elena Scovitina won the Blitz discipline!
Arsenii Tsynov and Viktoryia Nikalayeva won the Rapid discipline (Brazilian draughts)!
Andrei Valiuk and Zhanna Sarshaeva won the Rapid Game discipline!
Based on the results of the 1st Stage of the World Cup, participants receive points towards the overall World Cup standings in accordance with the 2026 World Cup Regulations.
28-04-2026 The third program of the World Cup in Draughts-64, the Classic game discipline, has ended.
45 players from 5 countries participated in the competition, among them 12 International Grandmasters and 8 International Masters.
International Grandmaster Andrei Valiuk won the Classic game discipline among men!
International Grandmaster Zhanna Sarshaeva won the Classic game discipline among women!

23-04-2026 The second program of the World Cup in Draughts-64, the Rapid discipline, has ended.
The competition was held using the Brazilian version of Draughts-64. 69 players from 6 countries participated in the competition, including 17 International Grandmasters and 9 International Masters.
International Grandmaster Viktoryia Nikalayeva won the second program of the World Cup in Draughts-64!
This is a unique event: for the first time, a woman has won an open tournament with such a strong competitors!

21-04-2026 Today, the World Cup – International competition “Türkiye-2026” started at the Ma Biche Kemer by Werde Hotels 5* in Kemer (Türkiye).
At the opening ceremony the competition participants were greeted by Vladimir Langin, President of the International Draughts Federation (IDF), Necati Topaloğlu, Mayor of Kemer, Aleksei Shonin, Vice President of the Russian Draughts Federation and representatives of the host country. IDF President Vladimir Langin presented diplomas and badges to the players who were awarded international titles.
The competitions are held in three disciplines: Blitz, Rapid (Brazilian version of draughts-64) and Classic game.
In all disciplines, open tournaments are held according to the Swiss system by the system of micro-matches from two games with the drawing of initial moves and positions according to the official IDF tables on 01.01.2024.
In each discipline, winners and prize-winners among men and women are determined.
In addition, winners and prize-winners are determined among junior boys and junior girls under 20 years old (born in 2007 and younger).
Players who take part in the World Cup will receive points for the overall World Cup standings in accordance with the 2026 World Cup Regulations.
The prize fund for the competition will be at least 2,400 euros.
03-02-2026 The International Draughts Federation (IDF) in accordance with the Calendar of the IDF competitions for 2026 holds training events and World Cup in draughts-64 – International competition “Türkiye-2026”.

The Сredentials Committee will work on 20th April from 18.00 to 22.00.
Competition will be held in three disciplines – Blitz, Rapid and Classic game.
In all disciplines, open tournaments are held according to the Swiss system in 7-9 rounds by the system of micro-matches from two games with a draw of initial moves and positions according to the official IDF tables valid as of 01.01.2024, obligatory in both games of micro-match.
In each discipline, winners and prize winners are determined among men and women.
Additionally, winners and prize winners are determined among juniors (boys and girls) under 20 (born in 2006 and younger) and among veterans 60 years of age and older (born in 1966 and older), participants must be the required number of years old on the start date of the competition.
Participants of the World Cup get points in the overall standing of the World Cup in accordance with the Regulations of the 2026 World Cup in draughts-64.
The prize fund of the competition will be at least 2,400 euros.
