Letter of president of the International Draughts Federation IDF – FMJD Section-64 Vladimir Langin to the all national federations developing draughts-64.

Some of the federation ask us. Does General Secretary FMJD Mr. Teer  resigned or not? Judge for yourself. We present a letter of Mr. Teer from 21-01-2014 after publication of the correct report of the General Assembly FMJD. It turned out that written by Mr. Teer report of the General Assembly had numerous distortions.

Report of the FMJD General Assembly 23.09.2013 in Wageningen  is written incorrectly, with large inaccuracies and distortions, especially with respect to the Section-64. We took into account the experience of the General Assembly in 2012 in Lille which report was misleading. So we made an audio recording of the General Assembly to prevent intentional distortion.

National open individual draughts-64 championship of Uganda (poolcheckers) started 26th January 2014 late at about 2.30 pm on a round robin basis under the arbitration of Dan Isabirye. Youthful participant of the World Men Championship 2013 in St. Petersburg Sam Senoga from Seeta Club won.

Recently FMJD leadership resumed active operations aimed at destroying draughts-64 as an international sport. Instead of welcoming the huge successes in the development of Section-64, the structural unit of FMJD, leadership of FMJD through all available methods of trying to discredit our game and Section-64 at the international level, to usurp the right to represent the sport “Draughts” exclusively for draughts-100.

2nd Portugal National Team Championship 2013/14 (Rapid) was held on January 18 on Fábrica Oliva ” Museu dos Chapéus ” S.João da Madeira. Team CCD São João da Madeira won all the matches and became the champion.  See results HERE. 23th  Portugal Cup final will be held on January 25 between the teams CCD São João da Madeira and S.M. Capricho Setubalense.

Draughts Federation of Chelyabinsk region holds from March 5 (day of arrival) till March 13, 2014 in Chelyabinsk (Russia) International competitions in memory of Grandmaster Eugene Stepanov among men and women.

ХХXІII International youth team competition on the Cup «Golden dame» was helds from January 4 to  January 9, 2014 in Moscow (Russia). More than 80 young players, 21 teams from three countries: Belarus, Latvia and Russia took part in the competitions.
