General Assembly of International Draughts Federation (IDF) was held 29 August 2016 at Sports complex “Aqua Life” in Kranevo (Bulgaria) during the World Championships in draughts-64 among teams, veterans and youth General Assembly of International Draughts Federation (IDF). 

Estonian Blitz and Rapid Championships among men and women  was held 3th and 4th September in the city of Viljandi. In Men Championships international grandmaster Uutma Arno won Blitz and Rapid. In Women Championships Triis Aneli won Blitz and Viirma Piret won Rapid.
