National Youth Championship of Kazakhstan was held in Kaskelen from March 20 to 31. More than 110 players from 11 regions of Kazakhstan took part in the competitions. Competitions were held in three programs: Classic, Rapid and Blitz in the age groups:

Russian Youth Championships among boys and girls in age groups U16, U19 and U26 was held in Leningrad region, in the hotel “Petro Sport Hotel” from 3rd (arrival day) to 12th March in three programs: Blitz, Rapid and Classic. Near 150 players from 23 regions of Russia took part in competitions.

Final of Lithuanian Championship in draughts-64 among men was held in Vilnius from 11 to 16 February 2017. 10 players participated in the competition, among them 3 International Grandmasters and 4 International Masters. Champion of Lithuania became world champion 2015 in Rapid, an international grandmaster Arunas Norvaishas.

Estonian Championships in draughts-64 among men and women was held from 26 to 29 January 2017. Competitions was held with the control time 45’+ 30″on the Swiss system in 8 rounds in men and on the round robin in women. Draughts Federation of Russia in Loo (Sochi) from September 19 (day of arrival) to October 01, traditionally held: Russian Championship in draughts-64 (Russian draughts) among men and women. Russian Cup in draughts-100 among men and women. All-Russia competitions in Russian draughts among boys and girls. Russian Championship in draughts-64 among men and women ended. See results.

Estonian Blitz and Rapid Championships among men and women  was held 3th and 4th September in the city of Viljandi. In Men Championships international grandmaster Uutma Arno won Blitz and Rapid. In Women Championships Triis Aneli won Blitz and Viirma Piret won Rapid.
