International Draughts Federation IDF in accordance with the calendar of the competitions 2016 holds from 18 to 25 June 2016 in Rimini (Italy) 2nd Stage of World Cup 2016 in draughts-64 – International competition “Rimini-2016”. International grandmaster Dmitry Tsinman won Blitz and Rapid. Vladimir Skrabov won classic program.

Portuguese Championship in Portuguese draughts with classical time control was held from 9 to 12 June. 21 players took part in the competition. The competition was held on the Swiss system in 8 rounds with control of 90 minutes for 4 games. 1st Stage of World Cup 2016 – International competition “Portugal-2016” ended. Competitions was held from 28th May (arrival day) till 4th June (departure day) 2016 in Setubal (Portugal), which is European City of Sport 2016. International grandmaster Dmitry Tsinman won Classic program and Blitz. Manuel Tiago won Rapid in Portuguese draughts.

Championships of Belarus among men and women was held from 23 till 31 May 2016 in the Republican Center of Olympic training for chess and draughts (Minsk, str. of Marx, 10). Andrey Valyuk won among men. Vera Hvaschinskaya won among women.

2nd Zambian National Draughts-64 Championship was held from Thursday 19  to Sunday 22 May at Heroes Lodge in Lusaka. The  national team to represent Zambia in the historical 1st African Draughts-64 Championship, which will be held from 22 to 27 July, has finally been selected.
