From 29 April to 7 May 2017 in Gomel (Belarus) under auspices of the International Draughts Federation (IDF) were held next competitions: 2nd European Draughts-64 Disabilities Championship (Men, women). 2nd European Draughts-64 Disabilities Championship (Boys and girls U23 – 1994 year born and younger). 1st European Draughts-64 Disabilities Championship. Rapid (Men, women, boys and girls U23).

International Draughts Federation (IDF) in accordance with the Calendar of the competitions in 2017 holds from April 30 (arrival day) to May 8 (departure day), 2017 in Orel (Russia) personal-team European Youth Championship in draughts-64.

Asian Championships in draughts-64, draughts-100, and Turkish draughts was held in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) from 15 to 28 April 2017. Asian Championship in draughts-64 are held from 15 to 21 April. Competitions was held by Asian Draughts Confederation and the Uzbekistan Draughts Federation under the auspices of the International Draughts Federation IDF.

National Youth Championship of Kazakhstan was held in Kaskelen from March 20 to 31. More than 110 players from 11 regions of Kazakhstan took part in the competitions. Competitions were held in three programs: Classic, Rapid and Blitz in the age groups:

Russian Youth Championships among boys and girls in age groups U16, U19 and U26 was held in Leningrad region, in the hotel “Petro Sport Hotel” from 3rd (arrival day) to 12th March in three programs: Blitz, Rapid and Classic. Near 150 players from 23 regions of Russia took part in competitions.

Final of Lithuanian Championship in draughts-64 among men was held in Vilnius from 11 to 16 February 2017. 10 players participated in the competition, among them 3 International Grandmasters and 4 International Masters. Champion of Lithuania became world champion 2015 in Rapid, an international grandmaster Arunas Norvaishas.

Estonian Championships in draughts-64 among men and women was held from 26 to 29 January 2017. Competitions was held with the control time 45’+ 30″on the Swiss system in 8 rounds in men and on the round robin in women. After eight rounds of Swiss three people: Rist Raivo, Uutma Arno and Väärtnõu Urmas scored 11 points. Winner was determined by additional blitz-tournament with …
