4th Stage of World Cup – International competition «Cup of Information Technologies» was held from 14th August to 19th August, 2016 in Kazan (Russia). International grandmaster, world champion Sergey Belosheev became the winner of the Blitz program. International master Denis Shogin from Kazan won classical program. World Youth Championships in Draughts-64 among boys and girls in six age groups was held from 24th August (day of arrival) to 03th September (departure day) 2016 in Sports Complex Aqualife, Kranevo, Bulgaria.  Classic program ended.  See results and photo.

Under the auspices of the International Draughts Federation IDF from 23th August (day of arrival) to 2th September (day of departure) 2016 in Kranevo (Bulgaria) was held  World Draughts-64 Championship among disabled. Championship was held in four types of disability: DEAF, BLIND, PARAPLEDGIA and SPESH-OLYMPIC. See results.

International competition in draughts-64 “Jogeva-2016” is held from 02 August to 07 August 2016 in Jogeva, Estonia. International grandmaster Vladimir Skrabov (Russia) became the winner of the Rapid program. International grandmaster Guntis Valneris (Latvia) won Classic program.

International Draughts Federation (IDF) together with the Zambia Draughts Federation (ZDF) holds in Lusaka from 22 (arrival day) to 27 July (departure day) 2016 the 1st African Draughts-64 Championship qualifier for the World Championship 2017. Lukanga Mambwe from Zambia become the winner of the first African Draughts-64 Championship in Rapid. Richard Mwammba from Congo (DR) become the winner in Classic program.

Asian Championship in draughts 100 and Asian Cup in draughts-64 are held in Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia) from 20 to 30 July. Asian Cup in draughts-64 is held among men, women, boys and girls from 20 to 23 July in 2 programs: classical and blitz. Portuguese Championship in Portuguese draughts with classical time control was held from 9 to 12 June. 21 players took part in the competition. The competition was held on the Swiss system in 8 rounds with control of 90 minutes for 4 games.
