International Draughts Federation (IDF) according to the decision of the IDF Board held in Türkiye November 5, 2024 during the World Youth Draughts-64 Championship the reporting General Assembly (General Meeting) of the International Draughts Federation (IDF).

The International Draughts Federation (IDF) in accordance with the Calendar of the IDF competitions in 2024 helds in Türkiye from 1 to 11 November 2024 World Youth Draughts-64 Championship in age groups up to 9, 11, 14, 17, 20 and 27 years. In the age groups U27 and U20, the classification of the World Championship among students was established.
The World Youth Championship was held in the disciplines of Blitz, Rapid and Classic game. See the results.

The International Draughts Federation (IDF) in accordance with the Calendar of the IDF competitions in 2024 held in Türkiye from November 1 to November 11, 2024 World Championship in draughts-64 among veterans.
Competitions were held in the age categories:
Men 60 years and older (1964 year born and older);
Men 50-59 years old (1974-1964 year born);
Women 50 years and older (1974 year born and older).
The World Championship among veterans was held in the disciplines of blitz and classic game. See the results.

ATTENTION!
The preliminary calendar of events of the International Draughts Federation (IDF) for 2025 has been published.
All annual scheduled events will take place in 2025. The European Championships for men and women will be held in Kemer (Turkey) at a high level and with a good prize fund. In the autumn, the traditional World Championships among youth, students and veterans will be held. The World Cup stages will be held in April in Kemer (Turkey) together with the European Youth Championship; in May in the capital of Uzbekistan Tashkent and in the autumn together with the World Championships among youth, students and veterans. On September 23, the IDF office received a letter from the FMJD leadership about the termination of the long-term cooperation agreement. This decision of the FMJD was not a surprise for the IDF. The FMJD leadership has been interfering with our work for many years, trying to destroy the competitor in the face of the IDF and create small weak sections within the FMJD for different types of draughts-64 in order to represent draughts-100 in all international organizations as the main and practically the only international discipline in draughts. After the FMJD General Assembly in 2021 and the arrival of new leadership, there was a chance for joint cooperation between the FMJD and the IDF in one structure for the development of all types of draughts in the world. The IDF proposed to conclude an agreement with the FMJD on long-term cooperation and division of powers, which was signed in February 2022 after lengthy discussions, agreements and consultations with lawyers. On 7 and 8 September 2024, the III Brazilian Youth Draughts-64 Championship was held in the municipality of Jaú-SP.
The championship was organized by the Liga Brasileira de Jogo de Damas with the support of Jaú-SP and the IDF.
158 players took part in the championship in the categories under 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 and 21 for boys and girls.

The World Draughts-64 Championship among men and women completed. The Championship was held from September 5 to 15, 2024 in Russia, in the Moscow region. The World Championship was held in three disciplines – Blitz, Rapid and Classic game.
Athletes from 27 countries from 4 continents – Asia, Africa, Europe and America took part in the competition.
The prize fund was 5,100,000 rubles (equivalent to 57,000 US dollars).
Roman Shchukin and Sandaara Aprosimova became world champions in the discipline Blitz game!
Ihar Mikhalchenka and Anastasia Arkhangelskaia became world champions in the discipline Rapid game!
Nikolai Struchkov and Tunaara Fedorova became world champions in the discipline Classic game!
The 10th Malawi Draughts-64 Championship was held in the capital of Malawi, Lilongwe, at the SIMAMA Hotel, from 23 to 25 August 2024. 52 athletes took part in the men’s championship, and 8 athletes in the women’s championship.
The 2024 Malawi Champions were International Masters Enock Banda for men and Suzen Kachepa for women!

The International Draughts Federation (IDF) together with The Draughts Association of Ulaanbaatar in accordance with the Calendar of the IDF competitions in 2024 held in Mongolia World Cup in draughts-64 – International competitions ” Mongolia-2024″.
The competitions were held in the capital of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar, from July 8 to 15 in three disciplines: Blitz, Rapid and Classic game.
Nikolai Gulyaev and Nika Leopoldova won the Blitz discipline!
Arsenii Tsynov and Anastasiia Arkhangelskaia won the Rapid discipline!
