2nd Stage of World Cup 2018 – International competition “Uzbekistan-2018”

International Draughts Federation (IDF) together with Uzbekistan Draughts Federation in accordance with the Calendar of the competitions in 2018 hosted from March 24, (arrival day) till April 1, 2018 (departure day) in Tashkent, capital of  Uzbekistan, 2nd Stage of World Cup 2018 in draughts-64 – International competition “Uzbekistan-2018”.
Competitions was held with the support of the Fund for Promoting the Development of Draughts Sport “Russian Draughts”. International Grandmaster Dmitry Tsinman became the winner of the Blitz and Rapid program. International Grandmaster Abdukadyr Tashtemirov won classic program. See results. (more…)

International Draughts-64 Tournament among boys and girls in the age groups up to 14, 11 and 9 years on the prizes of the President of Uzbekistan Draughts Federation Yunus Amindjonov for the first time was held from March 24, (arrival day) till April 1, 2018 in the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent together with with the 2nd Stage of World Cup 2018. The prize fund of the tournament was 1000 euros. 5th Online Tournament was held in Brazil

5th Online Tournament in draughts-64 (Brazilian draughts) was held in Brazil from 19/02/2018 to 16/03/2018. 112 players from various regions of Brazil and 5 players from other countries took part in competition. As far as we know, this was the biggest online tournament ever realized in Brazil. There were 9 rounds over 1 month of competition after that the top 16 players disputed the Qualifiers in 1/8 finals, 1/4 finals, 1/2 finals and final.

Andrius Kybartas won Lithuanian Men Championship

Lithuanian Men Championship on Russian draughts was held in Lithuanian capital Vilnius from 13 to 18 March. International Grandmaster Andrius Kybartas became Lithuanian Champion. International Grandmaster Aleksej Domcev took second place and International Master Domantas Norkus was third. 12 players took part in the competition, which was held on a round robin system.
