Russian Youth Championships among boys and girls in age groups U16, U19 and U26 was held in Leningrad region, in the hotel “Petro Sport Hotel” from 3rd (arrival day) to 12th March in three programs: Blitz, Rapid and Classic. Near 150 players from 23 regions of Russia took part in competitions.

Israeli championship in Russian draughts among women was held 4th March at the city of Petah Tikva. Champion Israel became USSR master of sports and IDF master, multiple participant of the World and European championships Zinaida Alexandrova. Master of sports Valery Volynkina took second place. Championship of Lithuania in draughts-64 among women was held in Kaunas 24 and 25 February. 20 women took part in the competitions, which were held on the Swiss system in 7 rounds. International Master Milda Jocaite won all games and confidently won the title of Women Champion of Lithuania 2017. (more…)
