Dear colleagues!

Recently, some sources have reported that a certain “European Draughts-64 Championship (Russian/Brazilian)” will be held in Estonia in 2025. In this regard, the International Draughts Federation (IDF) informs you of the following.

The European Draughts-64 Championships among men and women will be held in Turkey (Kemer) from April 11 to 20, 2025. The competitions will traditionally be held at a high level in the Russian and Brazilian versions of the game. The prize fund will be more than 25,000 euros. At the moment, representatives of 16 countries have confirmed their participation. (more…)

The International Draughts Federation (IDF) together with the Uzbekistan Draughts Federation in accordance with the Calendar of the IDF competitions in 2025 held from 14 to 23 January 2025 in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) first events of 2025: Training event and International competitions “Stars of Uzbekistan-2025”.
Competitions were held in the categories: men, women; juniors (boys and girls) up to 27 years old (born in 1999-2005); boys and girls up to 17 years old (born in 2009 and younger) in two disciplines: Classic and Blitz games.

In the athletes / ratings section, new rating lists in draughts-64 for men and for women have been published for January 1, 2025.

International Draughts Federation (IDF) according to the decision of the IDF Board held in Türkiye November 5, 2024 during the World Youth Draughts-64 Championship the reporting General Assembly (General Meeting) of the International Draughts Federation (IDF).

The International Draughts Federation (IDF) in accordance with the Calendar of the IDF competitions in 2024 held World Youth Draughts-64 Championship in age groups up to 9, 11, 14, 17, 20 and 27 years in Türkiye from 1 to 11 November 2024. In the age groups U27 and U20, the classification of the World Championship among students was established.

The World Youth Championship was held in the disciplines of Blitz, Rapid and Classic game. See the results.

The International Draughts Federation (IDF) in accordance with the Calendar of the IDF competitions in 2024 held World Championship in draughts-64 among veterans in Türkiye from November 1 to November 11, 2024.
Competitions were held in the age categories:
Men 60 years and older (1964 year born and older);
Men 50-59 years old (1974-1964 year born);
Women 50 years and older (1974 year born and older).
The World Championship among veterans was held in the disciplines of blitz and classic game. See the results.

ATTENTION!

The preliminary calendar of events of the International Draughts Federation (IDF) for 2025 has been published.

All annual scheduled events will take place in 2025. The European Championships for men and women will be held in Kemer (Turkey) at a high level and with a good prize fund. In the autumn, the traditional World Championships among youth, students and veterans will be held. The World Cup stages will be held in April in Kemer (Turkey) together with the European Youth Championship; in May in the capital of Uzbekistan Tashkent and in the autumn together with the World Championships among youth, students and veterans.
