International Draughts Federation (IDF) according to the calendar of competitions 2016 holds in Jakarta (Indonesia) from 6 to 12 October 2016 International Draughts-64 Competition in the framework of the 6^th TAFISA World Sport for all Games 2016. The competition is held with the support of the Foundation for Assistance of development of Draughts Sports “Russian Draughts”. On September 22, the event, which FMJD and its organizer, Mr. Marcos, pathetically called the World Cup, started in Brazil. As everybody can easily see from the “competition” standings, in the tournament are involved official representatives from two countries (Brazil and Poland) and several tourists without applications of their national federations and contrary to federation’s decisions. At the same time the strongest Brazilian draughts players are not allowed to the competitions and “the title” played out between “Marcos’s Sixteen”, not even qualified through national preliminaries. What should pay attention:
World Championships for men and women will be held in October 2017 in St. Petersburg (Russia).
In the older group of Juniors the upper limit for the age increased. Players 26 years and younger will be able to take part in competitions.

We ask all countries to send calendars of national competitions for inclusion in the shared calendar 2017.

Estonian Blitz and Rapid Championships among men and women  was held 3th and 4th September in the city of Viljandi. In Men Championships international grandmaster Uutma Arno won Blitz and Rapid. In Women Championships Triis Aneli won Blitz and Viirma Piret won Rapid.

International Draughts Federation (IDF) in accordance with the Calendar of the competitions in 2016 holds at the Sports Complex «Aqualife», Kranevo, Bulgaria, from August 24, (arrival day) till September 03, 2016 (departure day) World Team’s Championship in draughts-64.

In Blitz program Belarus teams won in men and in women. In Classic program team of Russia (CFO) won in men and team of Belarus won in women.

4th Stage of World Cup – International competition «Cup of Information Technologies» was held from 14^th August to 19^th August, 2016 in Kazan (Russia).
