On November 28-30, The Uzbekistan Youth Team Championship was held in Tashkent. The team consists of 10 players, 1 player in each age group (boys, girls up to 20, 17, 14, 11 and 9 years old).
Competitions were held in two programs: Rapid and Blitz.

The Africa University Sports Federation (FASU) organized and conducted the 1st Africa University Mind Sports Championship (Bridge, Draughts and Chess). Competitions were held online 28th and 29th November 2020. The Draughts championship was held with the support of the International Draughts Federation (IDF). See the results.
The Uzbekistan Draughts-64 Championships among men, women and juniors U23 (boys and girls) were held from October 4 to October 6 in the capital of Uzbekistan Tashkent.
Competitions were held in two programs: Rapid and Blitz.

The African Draughts Federation (ADF) in conjunction with The International Draughts Federation (IDF) hosted the Fight COVID-19 African Open Online Championship which took place on 11th October 2020 from 13:00pm London time at www.playok.com platform, Russian Room. 96 athletes from 15 countries took part in the competition.
Vyacheslav Varlamov (Russia) became the winner of the online championship. Enock Banda (Malawi) became the African Champion. Alexandrov Zinaida (Israel) was best woman.
The Estonian Blitz and Rapid Championships among men and women were held in the capital of Estonia Tallinn on October 10 and 11.
On October 10, the Estonian Blitz Championships were held. 25 men and 6 women participated. The competitions were held according to the Russian version of draughts-64, round robin system, time control 3’+ 2″, in the women’s championship – in two circles. (more…)

A number of significant draughts events took place in Portugal in September-October 2020.
From September 12 to 20, 2020 Inatel – Luso hosted the 40th Portuguese National Individual Championship in Classic Draughts, the Portuguese Youth Championship and the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Portuguese Draughts Federation.
