The first French championship in the international (Russian) version of draughts-64 was held 29th and 30th April in the city of ROCHEFORT-sur-Mer. The championship was the qualifier for the European Championship 2018. Champion of France became the master of sports Félix VERBOUK. The IDF master Franck LAURENT took second place and Gilles TAILLANDIER is on third place. Guillaume BERTRAND is the best youth.

Asian Championships in draughts-64, draughts-100, and Turkish draughts was held in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) from 15 to 28 April 2017. Asian Championship in draughts-64 are held from 15 to 21 April. Russian Youth Championships among boys and girls in age groups U16, U19 and U26 was held in Leningrad region, in the hotel “Petro Sport Hotel” from 3rd (arrival day) to 12th March in three programs: Blitz, Rapid and Classic. Near 150 players from 23 regions of Russia took part in competitions.

Israeli championship in Russian draughts among women was held 4th March at the city of Petah Tikva. Champion Israel became USSR master of sports and IDF master, multiple participant of the World and European championships Zinaida Alexandrova. Master of sports Valery Volynkina took second place.
