The International Draughts-64 Tournament “Israel-2017” is held from 19 to 24 December in the city of Eilat (Israel). Such strongest players as ex-world champions Markiel Fazylov (Israel) and Mikhail Goriunov (Russia, Leningrad region), world champions among veterans Yuri Kirillov and Zinaida Alexandrova (Israel), national grandmasters Dmitry Melnikov (Russia, St. Petersburg) and Mikhail Alshanetsky (Israel), the winner of the World Cup 2017 among women Anna Filipenko (Russia, St. Petersburg) and other strong players took part in the competitions. Results of Uzbekistan Cup among youth national teams
The Uzbekistan Cup in draughts-64 among youth teams (Russian version) was held in the city of Bukhara from 10 to 17 November. The team consists of 10 people (1 boy and 1 girl in each age group). The competitions were held in three programs: Blitz, Rapid and Classic.

2nd stage of the World Cup 2018 will be held in Uzbekistan
2nd stage of the World Cup 2018 will be held in the capital of Uzbekistan Tashkent from March 24 (arrival day) to April 1 (departure day). Uzbekistan is one of the most developed countries in the world in the field of draughts sport, has a large number of players that show high international results, conducts many draughts tournaments, including high-level Asian championships. Given the high level of development of draughts in the country, the International Draughts Federation entrusted the Uzbekistan Draughts Federation holding the 2nd stage of the World Cup 2018.
The World Cup in draughts-64 will be held in Asia for the first time and will be a great impetus in the development and promotion of draughts-64 in this region. The updated calendar 2018 see HERE
Calendar of events for 2018 updated
The calendar of events for 2018 updated and published HERE. The European Championship among boys and girls will be held from April 30 (arrival day) to May 9 (departure day) in the city of Orsha, Belarus. World Cup 2018 will be held in 6 stages. World Cup stages will be held in Jamaica, Italy, Estonia, Portugal, Georgia. Applications for the holding of the free stage of the World Cup are accepted until December 15. We remind you that all national federations urgently need to send to the IDF office (not later than December 15) their calendars of national championships for inclusion in the general calendar of IDF competitions for 2018. Calculation of ratings and assignment of international titles will be made only for tournaments included in the official calendar of the (IDF) competitions for 2018.

Standing in World Cup 2017 after 5 stages
Standing in World Cup 2017 after 5 stages published in Section Events – World Cup 2017.
In the classic program (points are summed up with Rapid program), international grandmaster Vladimir Skrabov leads with a score of 257 points. International grandmasters Dmitry Tsinman (243 points) and Arunas Norvaishas (236 points) are a stubborn fight with him for the World Cup 2017. In Blitz program, Dmitry Tsinman leads with a score of 101 points. Vladimir Skrabov has 96 points, and Arunas Norvaishas has 78 points.
