International Draughts Federation (IDF) in accordance with the calendar of the competitions in 2018 holds from August 25 till September 04, 2018 at the Sports Complex «Aqualife», Kranevo (Bulgaria) World Seniors Championship in draughts-64 among men born in 1967-1958; men born in 1957 years and older; women born in 1967 years and older. International Draughts Federation (IDF) in accordance with the Calendar of the competitions in 2018 holds in Kranevo (Bulgaria) held from 25th August to 4th September 2018 World Team’s Championship in draughts-64. Teams from 14 countries took part in the competitions. Competitions were held separately among men’s and women’s teams in two types of programs: classic and blitz. The teams of Belarus won the Blitz program among men and women. The team of Lithuania won classic program among men and the team of Belarus won classic program among women. See results.  (more…)

International Draughts Federation (IDF) in accordance with the Calendar of the competitions in 2018 from July 30  to August 7, 2018 held in Kuremaa, Jõgeva region (Estonia) 4^th Stage of World Cup 2018 in draughts-64- International competition “Jogeva-2018”. Competitions were held in the three types of programs: Blitz, Rapid and Classic.

International Grandmaster Andrey Valyuk (Belarus) won Rapid. International Grandmaster Guntis Valneris (Latvia) won Classic and Blitz program. See results, games and standings in the World Cup 2018 after 4 stages.

Cup of Uzbekistan among teams was held from 2 to 7 August in Namangan. The team consists of 10 players (1 boy and girl in each age group). 9 teams (90 participants) from 9 regions took part in the competitions. Competitions were held in three programs: Classic, Rapid and Blitz. In all three programs, the team of the Syrdarya region won. See results. (more…)

Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in draughts-64 among men, women, youth up to 23 years and up to 20 years was held from July 27 to August 7 in Aktobe (Kazakhstan). Competitions were held in three programs: classic, Blitz and Rapid. More than 70 participants from 8 regions of the country took part in the competition.

Under the auspices of the International Draughts Federation (IDF) Traditional Open Draughts Tournament “White Nights-2018” was held from July 21 (arrival day) to July 29 (departure day) 2018 in St. Petersburg (Russia). Within the framework of the competition there were an open tournament for men and women and competitions among among boys and girls in the age groups 2002-2004, 2005-2007, 2008-2009, 2010 and younger, having the status of All-Russian competitions. 2nd African Draughts-64 Championship was held from 8 to 14 July 2018 in the city of Blantyre, Malawi. Organizers of the competitions was International Draughts Federation (IDF), African Draughts Confederation and the Association of Draughts of Malawi (ADMA). Competitions were held with the support of the Government of Malawi and the Malawi National Council of Sports. Competitions were held in three programs: Classic, Rapid and Blitz, with three versions of draughts: international/Russian, Brazilian and Pool checkers, and will be qualifying for World Draughts-64 Championship 2019. Competitions were held with the support of the Fund for Promoting the Development of Draughts Sport “Russian Draughts”.

Sam Senoga from Uganda won Blitz. Enock Makoka Banda from Malawi won Rapid. Lukanga Mwambwe from Zambia won Classic program. See results.

Draughts Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan under auspices of the International Draughts Federation (IDF) holds in Kazan (Russia, Republic of Tatarstan) from August 11 (arrival day) to August 18, 2018 (departure day) open tournament «X Cup of information technology».
