6 th International Sports Games “Children of Asia” was held in Yakutsk from 6 to 16 July. Teams from the Russian regions, countries of Asia, members of the Olympic Council of Asia participated in the competitions. 38 countries have officially confirmed their participation in the games. 4,000 athletes are compete in 22 sports. Games “Children of Asia” in 2016 is expected most ambitious composition and number of participants in the history of their conduct since 1996.

Draughts competitions was held from 9 to 15 July. Competitions in draughts-64 was held in the framework of the games for the first time. See results. (more…)

From June 30 to July 4, 2016 in the city of Kolomna, Moscow Region is held International tournament in Russian draughts and draughts-100 on the prizes of the President of the Russian Draughts Federation. Competitions in Russian draughts are held from June 30 (day of arrival) to July 2; tournaments in draughts-100 – from June 2 (day of arrival) to July 4. Gavril Kolesov won Rapid in Russian draughts. Sergey Belosheev won Blitz.

Portuguese Championship in Portuguese draughts with classical time control was held from 9 to 12 June. 21 players took part in the competition. The competition was held on the Swiss system in 8 rounds with control of 90 minutes for 4 games. Competitions was held from 28th May (arrival day) till 4th June (departure day) 2016 in Setubal (Portugal), which is European City of Sport 2016. International grandmaster Dmitry Tsinman won Classic program and Blitz.
